Our mission at Yalla Sweets is first and foremost to make sweets that taste good and speak the stories of the women who helped create them. Our goal is to honor our family's history by perfecting their tried and tested recipes for Palestinian desserts while also experimenting with modern flavors and ingredients. We take inspiration from our Palestinian roots and upbringing, as well as from our beloved birthplace--Houston, Texas. We promise to utilize local and sustainable products where and when possible. And we promise to make every morsel with love and gratitude for those who paved the way and for those who find their way to our little homegrown bakery.

Q: How do I place an order?

Thank you for choosing Yalla Sweets! To place an order, please contact us at yallasweets@gmail.com. We require at least 72 hours advanced notice for small orders and 5 days advanced notice for large orders.

Q: How can I pay for my order?

Currently, we are able to accept cash and personal checks to be paid in full at the time of pick-up or delivery.

Q: Do you provide delivery options?

We do! We can deliver 8-10 miles from the Galleria area. Delivery fees start at $5.00 and vary depending on location. Otherwise, we'll schedule a time for pick-up via email.

Q:I saw something delicious on your Instagram page but don't see it on your menu. Can I still order it?

We love to share the sweets we are working on in the kitchen. If you see something you want to order, just drop us a line at yallasweets@gmail.com and we'll see what we can do! This goes for special orders as well. If we are able to bake something special and off-menu for you, we're happy to do it!

Q: Is it legal to have a home-based baking business?

Yes! As of September 1, 2011, the Texas Cottage Food Law has allowed avid home bakers like me to bake and sell delicious baked goods from our homes. I take my work very seriously! I have obtained both a Food Handler's License and a SafeServ Food Protection Manager's Certificate. The law also allows home bakers to hold bake sales and sell our goods at local farmer's markets, so keep up with our social media to learn about upcoming events!
